Recently, I read the sad news that monarch butterflies have seen such a population decline that they’ve been declared an endangered species. I do hope that these beautiful creatures can recover enough to get themselves removed from the endangered species list. The good news is that around here these pretty pollinators seem to be thriving. We’ve enjoyed seeing many monarchs this summer on our walks along with some other butterflies including yellow tiger swallowtail butterflies.
