Most of the items I design for Zazzle feature my own illustrations, but my new Coral Daisy Collection features a photograph I took. (I feel obligated to point out that some of the items in this collection do also have some of my hand drawn illustrations with a simple leaf pattern in the background.) Not only did I snap this photo. I also grew this flower. This gerbera daisy in a pretty coral color brought me some joy in a planter on our patio. Well, it did for a little while anyway. That’s because two days after this photo was snapped a hungry deer decided to come along and eat this flower for a midnight snack. Well, thanks to cameras I can keep on enjoying this flower long after it’s passed through a deer’s digestive track, and thanks to my Zazzle collection, so can you.

I really had a fun time playing around with this gerbera daisy photo and creating some cool designs for Zazzle. I thought the bright coral color paired nicely with a mint green or seafoam green background. You’ll find a lot of different designs featuring this brightly colored flower against a cool mint backdrop including a subtle mint on mint hand-drawn leaves patterned background like on this throw pillow. Of course, this flower is pretty enough just on its own so there are number of products featuring the photo of the flower only.
