I’m excited to announce that my Retro Roosters surface pattern design is now available on wallpaper, fabric and more at Spoonflower. This vintage-inspired design features handpainted roosters illustrations in fun colors of orange, magenta, cornflower blue, dark olive green and mustard yellow with black accents set against a white background inside of a hexagon shaped grid that has the look of chickenwire fencing.

I definitely had a fun time creating these painted style bird graphics, and was inspired by midcentury dinnerware and home decor pieces from the 1950s and 1960s. I wanted a color palette that had some energetic vibes that’s perfect for waking you up in the morning, just like the cock-a-doodle-doo of a rooster. I hope you enjoy these bright and happy birds as much as I enjoyed creating this surface pattern design.
